Questions Most Men Have
Before They Reach Out

Straight answers. No runaround.

Getting Started

How do I get started?
Book a free consultation — it's a 15–20 minute call where we talk about what's going on, what you're looking for, and whether I'm the right fit for you. There's no commitment and no pressure. If we're not a match, I'll tell you, and I'll do my best to point you somewhere useful. If we are a match, we schedule a first session and go from there.
What if I'm nervous or not sure I'm ready?
That's probably the most common thing I hear. Most of the men I work with are avoidant by nature — asking for help doesn't come naturally, and sitting down to talk about what's actually going on feels uncomfortable before it feels useful. That's fine. You don't need to feel ready. You just need to reach out. The discomfort at the start is part of the work, not a sign that you shouldn't be doing it.
Do you work with women?
No. I work exclusively with men. My approach, my story, and the work I do are specifically built for men — and I've found I do my best work staying in my lane.
Do you work with couples or families?
Not at this time. My practice is individual therapy only. If you're looking for couples therapy or family counseling, I'd recommend finding a specialist in that area who can give it the attention it deserves.

Telehealth & Logistics

How does online therapy work? What do I actually need?
All sessions are video calls through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform. You'll need a reliable internet connection, a device with a camera and microphone (phone, tablet, or computer all work), and a private space where you can speak freely for about an hour. That's it — no special software to download ahead of time.
Do you offer in-person sessions?
No. My practice is telehealth only. Every session is online. For most of the men I work with, that's actually an advantage — no commute, no waiting room, no running into anyone you know.
What states are you licensed in?
Florida only. I'm licensed as an LMHC in Florida, which means I can work with any adult man located anywhere in the state — whether you're in Miami, Orlando, Jacksonville, or a smaller city. If you're outside Florida, I'm not able to see you as a client.
How long are sessions?
Each session is 1 hour and 5 minutes. That extra five minutes isn't filler — it gives us enough room to actually land somewhere useful before we wrap up, rather than cutting things off right when they're getting somewhere.

Cost & Insurance

What do you charge?
$200 per session. Sessions are 1 hour 5 minutes. I also offer a limited sliding scale starting at $192 for men who are genuinely committed to the work but facing a real financial barrier. If that's you, just bring it up when we talk.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes — through Headway. You can check your coverage and book through Headway directly. Worth knowing: insurance requires a formal diagnosis to process a claim, and that diagnosis becomes part of your medical record. That's fine for many people, but if privacy matters to you, it's something to think through before deciding.
What's the difference between using insurance and paying out of pocket?
With insurance, your plan may cover part or all of the session cost — but it requires a diagnosis code and involves third-party billing. Some plans also limit the number of sessions or session length. With private pay, you pay the flat rate, the details stay between us, and we set the pace of the work based on what you need rather than what a policy allows. Both are legitimate options. We can talk through which makes more sense for your situation.

What to Expect from the Work

What does the first session look like?
The first session is a chance to get clear on what brought you here and what you want to be different. I'll ask questions. You talk — as much or as little as you're ready to. We're not diving into the deepest wounds on day one. The first session is about establishing direction and making sure we're a real match before we go deeper. By the end, you'll have a clearer sense of the work ahead.
Do I have to be Christian to work with you?
My practice is faith-based and Christ-centered — prayer and biblical inner healing are part of how I work, not optional extras. If you're a Christian and you want your faith woven into the work, that's the core of what I do. If you're still figuring out your faith but you're genuinely open to prayer and biblical principles being part of the process, you're welcome. If faith isn't part of your life and you're not open to it, we're probably not the right fit — and I'd rather be honest about that up front than waste your time.
How long will this take?
There's no honest answer to that question in a number of sessions. Real change takes time, and the amount depends on what we're working on, how long it's been there, and how much work you're willing to put in outside of sessions. What I can tell you is this: true healing is a marathon, not a sprint. Men who come in expecting quick results and leave when it gets uncomfortable don't get far. Men who stay with it, do the work, and tolerate the discomfort of growth — those men change. The timeline is up to you more than it is to me.
What approach do you use?
I draw from CBT, somatic therapy, and Christ-centered inner healing — with StrengthsFinder 2.0 and neuroscience psychoeducation woven in. In plain terms: we work on your thought patterns, your body's responses, and the deeper belief systems and wounds that are driving the behavior — with your faith as a foundation rather than an afterthought. I'm eclectic on purpose; I use whatever serves you best, not whatever fits a template.
